The angles, the market gap behind them, and the launch flow — on one page. Lead spine recommended in §5. Built from the product-dev proposal + three research passes + supplier CoA review. Updated Sep 2026 to the R1 formula sheet.
⚠ Formula R1 (beef + bone broth, Robusta) · angle recommended · protein-quality & Prop 65 gates open (§1)Mocha protein coffee, ~38.5 g scoop, 14 servings, ~$34.95. Positioning: gut / energy / longevity — not a muscle-builder.
| Ingredient | Dose | What it carries — and the honest limit |
|---|---|---|
| Grass-fed beef protein (90%) verify quality | ~20 g | The protein workhorse — should carry the 24 g / satiety / muscle story. ⚠ Confirm it's a complete protein (amino-acid profile) first; many "beef isolates" are collagen-derived. |
| Beef bone broth protein concentrate (~90%) | ~5.3 g | Back in R1 (replaces the collagen line) — makes Angle A's "beef and broth" literal. A standardized powder, not the variable kitchen broth of the trials (Alcock 2019). Still collagen-type protein: it carries heritage + grams, not the muscle claim — and joint/skin lines stay soft (those RCTs used purified collagen peptides). |
| Buttermilk | ~3 g | Creaminess. Triggers Contains: Milk — not "dairy-free." |
| Real coffee (Robusta + instant) | ~3.2 g | ~120 mg caffeine (CoA-confirmed). ⚠ Robusta is harsher than Arabica — taste-test before lock. |
| Cocoa Prop 65 | ~1 g | Flavor only — far below any functional dose, so no blood-flow claim. Use a heavy-metal-tested cocoa; never name a branded commodity. |
| Sweeteners & vanilla (allulose, lucuma, cane sugar, vanilla, stevia, sucralose) claim limit | ~4.5 g | ~1 g real sugar per cup — trivial next to the ~69-cal café add-in. ⚠ Sucralose is on the label: never claim "all-natural" or "no artificial sweeteners" — and expect it as attack surface on an ancestral pack. |
| Minors (sunflower lecithin, xanthan, pink salt, natural bitter-blocker, vitamin C) | ~1.4 g | Mixability, body, and a smoother Robusta edge. Vitamin C lands ~50 mg (>50% DV) — a legitimate side line, never a spine. |
July: 244 competitor ads coded by theme (proposal scrape). Re-audited Sep 2026 against a fresh 280-ad Ads Library census — protein-coffee ring (n=108) shown. Multi-label coding, columns sum >100%; the two passes used different trigger nets, so compare rank order, not point deltas († = narrower Sep net). Everyone crowds the top of the list; we take those as table stakes and own the bottom two lines nobody buys media against.

| Ancestral | 2% | 8% | 🎯 Angle A whitespace |
| Longevity / GLP-1 | 4% / ~0% | 1% | 🎯 Angle D open lane |
Read: the Sep re-audit confirms the July structure — taste + energy dominate, and the two whitespace lanes stay near-empty in-category (ancestral 8%, GLP-1/longevity 1%). The persistence signal is new: across the full 280-ad census, GLP-1/longevity ads show the highest median run time of any theme (91 days) — under-supplied and durable. A is imported from the beef ring (32% ancestral in the Sep census; 27% in July). Full theme data → §7 note.
strong RCT/meta-backed moderate mixed/dose-dependent watch compliance risk
Follows Brunson's Epiphany-Bridge / Soap-Opera Sequence (set stage → drama → epiphany → hidden benefits → urgency) — the structure the BFS framework already encodes. Modeled on the recent Black Seed arc (which echoes the nattokinase "buried remedy" winner). Owned engine = Klaviyo email + SMS; dates provisional; value emails product-free.
Bridge from Black Seed: reuse its three villains (seed oils, ultra-processed food, sugar) and move the fight from "a buried remedy / a sick nation" to "the cup in your hand every morning." Continuity of enemy, not product. Channels (parallel): TikTok Shop affiliates (lead acquisition) · Amazon (SEO anchor) · DTC subscribe-and-save · Meta retargeting.
